To develop the abilities of UMM Lecturers in writing Journal Articles, UMM Scientific Publication Development Institute (LPPI) held a Workshop on Writing a Scopus Indexed International Journal Articles which took place in the UMM Dormy Meeting Room on friday (04/11/2022), which was attended by University of Muhammadiyah Malang lecturers.
In her remarks as Chief Executive as well as Head of the LPPI, Dr. Fardini Sabilah, M.Pd said that the purpose of this socialization was to provide insight regarding writing International Journal articles so that they could be accepted on Scopus.
Not only that, Vice-Rector I of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM), Syamsul Arifin, also opened this conference. He opened this activity whilst providing information and benefits related to writing articles in international journals.
Prof. Dr. Irwan Abdullah is a lecturer from Gadjah Mada University (UGM), he is an expert in writing scientific journal articles and he has written numerous works, especially journal articles indexed by Scopus. He said that, if there are difficulties in translating the comments of the reviewers, then it can be resolved with the condition that they write consistent and more productive articles. He also stated that you can write 5/10 articles in one year, apart from that you can write journal articles with the latest issues.
It is hoped that from the series of activities that have been carried out, LPPI UMM hopes that junior and senior lecturers can improve their skills in technical writing Scopus indexed journal articles and can apply the One Day One Paragraph that was conveyed by Prof. Irwan Abdullah. As well as sharing experiences in writing international journal articles between lecturers.
