FAQ about Student’s Article Publication
- Does every UMM undergraduate student have to write a publication article? Yes, as long as the students must do a thesis.
- Must every article be published in a journal, proceeding, or book chapter? Yes, if it has met the similarity requirements, had appropriate content, and met the quality standards.
- Can I submit my article for publication and get incentives? Yes, if it has met the incentive requirements and the lecturer who submits is the co-author.
- Whose name can I put as the author? The student’s name will be the first author, the first or second supervisor will be the co-author, and others involved (if any) also be the co-author.
- Why is the co-author one of the supervisors? The co-author must have an institutional email (xxx@umm.ac.id) because he/she will be considered the responsible person representing his/her institution for the content.
- Is it allowed to put the supervisor’s name as the first author and the co-author? Yes, as long as he/she supervises the research and by mutual consent.
- What about articles not published in a journal, proceeding, or book chapter? The article will be published in the UMM repository after meeting the required similarity standards.
- What is a publication article? It is a thesis report written scientifically.
